ABOUT ME

I have always been interested in wildlife from a young age and always liked taking photos but it wasn't until I was at university studying for a BSc in Countryside Management that I combined the two. I first started taking wildlife photos with a Fuji finepix camera - I soon found that this was severely lacking for wildlife photography so I purchased my first DSLR and 300mm lens. Once I had learnt every function on the camera I started to want more from it until I bought my current set up.

After completing my degree in May 07 I have been working on a private island off the Irish coast, enabling me to be close to the wildlife I want to photograph. This includes your normal sea bird species as Puffin, Guillemot, Razorbill, Fulmar, Kittiwake, Shag, Cormorant as well as Peregrine, Merlin, Kestrel and many other species of bird.

Currently photography is still only a hobby and I hold down a full time job to support it. In the future I hope to make photography my full time occupation.
